Driving Directions:
From Dock Square, head southwest on ME-9 W toward Harbour Lane, turn left onto Beach Ave. The entrance will be about a quarter mile on the left. Stay straight on the driveway to reach the Monastery.
The beautiful grounds of St Anthony Monastery, the landscape of which was designed by the Frederick Law Olmstead Brothers, who designed central park in new York, are open to the public and are a great place to come to walk the pathways, visit the shrines along the way, relax, visit our gift shop (open 10-noon and 1-4pm Monday through Saturday and noon to 4pm on Sunday), pray and meditate.
Formerly an estate, this facility has been owned by Lithuanian Franciscans since 1947. The Chapel combines the old tradition with modern expression in a very beautiful way.
Come to enjoy our Chapel and peaceful and expansive grounds! Everybody is most welcome.
