In this Legacy Workshop we will explore vintage and other 3D forms and structures to create treasured stories and keepsakes. A discussion of scale, palette, pattern, distressing, composition and finishing will be part of the class. Discover the transformation of a vintage tin, wood blocks, house forms and envelope ornaments. Students will use their own photos and other personal documents to make each piece memorable. A $40.00 materials fee will provide all forms, a packet of ephemera and more to create all class projects. No experience is necessary for this workshop! Instead of keeping memories hidden away in boxes you can make them into art pieces to display all year long or to give as gifts to loved ones.
Berri Kramer spent 25 years designing for Better Homes and Gardens and then founded Heartwood College of Art in the Kennebunks where she taught Color, Design and Crafts for over 25 years. We are now honored to have her share her prodigious knowledge of various art mediums in several workshops here at the gallery including Collage, Encaustic, Cold Wax and Printmaking.
