We tend to think of the 1960s as a free-wheeling good time, but much of the decade was anything but. National traumas like the war in Vietnam, the battle for Civil Rights at home, and dissatisfaction with government came to a head in the tumultuous year of 1968.
Having lived through that time, and with the benefit of hindsight, Monica Grabin will present songs which shine some light on the era, along with stories of her own experiences. And although the times were difficult, there are a lot of inspiring and hopeful songs too, which helped us all get through Living in the Sixties.
