KENNEBUNK, ME (May 2026) — Rugosa Lobster Tours is thrilled to announce the start of its 2026 season of authentic Maine lobster boat experiences departing from the Kennebunk River waterfront at the historic Nonantum Resort & Marina.
Welcoming visitors and locals alike from Memorial Day through October, Rugosa offers one of the most iconic and educational sea tours in Southern Maine — aboard a classic Downeast-style wooden lobster boat.
This season, guests can enjoy Rugosa’s signature Coastal Lobster Tour, a 1¼-hour journey that combines scenic cruising along the Kennebunk River and Atlantic coastline with live demonstrations of lobster trap hauling, fisheries insights, and hands-on learning about Maine’s lobster industry. Whether you choose to sit back and take in the coastal views or participate alongside the crew, the tour delivers both education and entertainment for all, ages 6+.
For those seeking a more elevated experience, Rugosa’s Adults-Only Lobster Tour with Lobster Roll combines the classic tour with a freshly prepared Maine lobster roll and bottled water — perfect for couples, groups, or any adult looking to savor Maine’s culinary traditions while enjoying the scenic beauty of the coastline.
In addition to public cruises, private charters are available for special events, group outings, and custom experiences on the water. Seating is limited to 21 passengers to ensure a personal and immersive adventure aboard the historic Rugosa — widely regarded as one of the region’s top-rated boat tours.
