Hospice of Southern Maine is seeking a full time Hospice Aides to work in our Home Program. The position is 40-hours, Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm. Listen to your favorite audio book or podcast while you drive to your patient visits.
SIGN ON BONUS!! $1,500 with the first paycheck and $1,500 after successful completion of 6-months of employment.
The Hospice Aide provides direct hospice care to home hospice patients in their place of residence. Works within the scope of practice for HA under the supervision of the registered nurse. Follows the HA Plan of Care to deliver quality patient care, including: bathing; dressing/grooming; skin care; assistance with elimination, nutritional needs, mobility; and homemaking.
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalency. Registered with the Maine State CNA Registry; must be active and in good standing. Active BLS certification or the ability to obtain within the first 90 days of employment. Must have a valid driver's license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or agency requirements and is in good working order.
After 1 year of successful employment, eligible for tuition reimbursement toward a nursing degree!
