About Us: The Lost Fire is located in the heart of Kennebunkport, Maine. We pride ourselves on providing a unique dining experience and exceptional service. We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our dynamic team.

Job Description: As a Host at The Lost Fire, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that our guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements
• Escort guests to their tables
• Provide guests with menus and answer initial questions
• Ensure that the front of house area is clean and presentable at all times
• Coordinate with the waitstaff to ensure efficient service
• Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally
• Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials
• Assist in other duties as assigned by the management team

Requirements

• Prior experience as a host/hostess or in food service is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills with clear phone etiquette and guest interaction abilities
• Familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining a positive attitude
• Excellent customer service skills with an energetic approach to guest engagement
• Knowledge of restaurant operations, serving procedures, and hospitality standards is desirable
