We are seeking energetic, detail-oriented Food Runners and Hosts to join our front-of-house team at The Lost Fire. Known for high-quality food, exceptional service, and a vibrant atmosphere — and we need team members who can keep up with the pace.

Position(s) Overview
The Food Runner plays a vital role in ensuring each guest receives their dishes promptly, accurately, and beautifully presented. You’ll work closely with servers, kitchen staff, and managers to deliver an outstanding guest experience while maintaining a clean and organized service line.

As a Host at The Lost Fire, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring that our guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they arrive.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor
  • Manage reservations and seating arrangements
  • Escort guests to their tables
  • Provide guests with menus and answer initial questions
  • Ensure that the front of house area is clean and presentable at all times
  • Coordinate with the waitstaff to ensure efficient service
  • Handle guest inquiries and concerns professionally
  • Maintain knowledge of the menu and daily specials
  • Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests quickly and accurately
  • Ensure dishes are presented according to chef standards before leaving the kitchen
  • Assist servers in clearing tables, refilling water, and restocking service areas
  • Communicate clearly between kitchen and front-of-house teams regarding order status
  • Maintain cleanliness of expo and service stations
  • Support the flow of service during peak hours

Qualifications

  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required — we’ll train the right person
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and carry plates/trays for extended periods
