Join the conversation on November 21, 2024 at 7:00 PM in TA's Hyde Library when Thornton Academy and Dyer Library/Saco Museum host a Guest Moderated Book Event: "Stolen Seasons: How Maine Sports Survived the COVID-19 Pandemic" a compelling book by authors Dave Eid and Gary Stevens exploring how the Maine sports community confronted unprecedented challenges during the pandemic, turning loss into opportunities for recovery.
Former WGME 13 news anchor Kim Block will lead the conversation between the authors Dave Eid, Sports Director for WGME 13 news, and Gary Stevens, former Thornton Academy’s Athletic Director, now serving as the Interim Athletic Director at St. Joseph’s College.
Stolen Seasons captures the emotional and often heroic journey of Mainers across all levels of sport who faced setbacks that seemed insurmountable. With heartfelt storytelling and firsthand accounts, Eid and Stevens shine a light on the resilience of athletes and the sports community during unprecedented times.
