Welcome to the Brick Store Museum’s first-ever Steampunk Fair!
What is “steampunk?”
Steampunk often features anachronistic technologies or “retro-futuristic” inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them. The era’s perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, invention and art all play into the visual culture of Steampunk. Technology may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.
At the Museum’s Steampunk Fair, you will find crafters of Victorian-futuristic art and crafts; be entertained by wandering performers “Dark Follies” (2-5 pm); take part in Victorian lawn games; and discover much more. Family-friendly costumes are encouraged!
ADMISSION: $2 per person (FREE for members). Tickets are valid for entry into the Brick Store Museum, the Program Center, and the outdoor campus of the Brick Store Museum.
