Southern Maine Steampunk Fair

WHERE: At the Brick Store Museum at 117 Main Street in Kennebunk, Maine.

HOW: $2 admission for everyone. Tickets are available for purchase on our site, or in person on the day of the event.

WHAT:  At the Southern Maine Steampunk Fair, you will find crafters of Victorian-futuristic art and crafts; be entertained by wandering performers; visit with Queen Victoria; take part in Victorian lawn games; and discover much more. Sponsored by Weirs Buick GMC, Shipyard Brewing, and Yelp!

Family-friendly costumes are encouraged and celebrated!

Unique creations and artwork, antiques, lamps, furniture, jewelry and much more will be on display and for sale by featured makers and artisans. Prices range in price from $5.00 to $500.00.

What is “steampunk?”

Steampunk often features anachronistic technologies or “retro-futuristic” inventions as people in the 19th century might have envisioned them. The era’s perspective on fashion, culture, architectural style, invention and art all play into the visual culture of Steampunk. Technology may include fictional machines like those found in the works of H. G. Wells and Jules Verne.
