Shipbuilding Odyssey

This 3-hour (1:30pm – 4:30pm) heritage tour begins at the Museum with a brief, illustrated talk about what life was like in the Kennebunks’ many shipyards and what it took to build the vessels that eventually sailed trade routes spanning the globe. You’ll then embark on a special, narrated trolley excursion that takes you to various local sites associated with shipbuilding along the Kennebunk River in the 1800s. Return to the Museum for refreshments and a commemorative gift. Advance reservations required by August 15. Cost is $30/person ($25 for current Museum members).
