Cody Howe grew up in the small town of New Boston, NH. He started listening to bluegrass in his dad’s pickup while traveling the area doctoring horse hooves. His first instrument was the banjo, then guitar, eventually joining bluegrass group “Tmud and the Spuds.” He learned a huge catalog of bluegrass music through his science teacher Dr. Larry Houghton, and after relocating to Sidney, Maine in 2020, he joined area bluegrass player Cliff Gelina’s band “Breakin’ Strings” in early 2023. Cody tours regionally with Breakin’ Strings and also plays solo throughout central Maine.
Michael Corleto is a Kennebunk, Maine native who’s been playing guitar since age ten. Always a local favorite, Michael has been sitting in with area musicians since age 11 playing guitar, and adding vocals at age 14. Since those early days of playing, Michael has continued to grow musically: since graduating high school in 2022, he has attended Berklee College of Music, recorded two albums, and is working on his third studio album this fall. You can find him playing around southern Maine, Key West, and Nashville.
Cody and Michael met when Michael opened for and joined Breakin’ Strings in May 2024 right here at Vinegar Hill. They had so much fun entertaining the crowd and themselves, they felt they had to turn that night into something more, and will now bring some of that guitar magic to the stage, playing a bunch of both of their original tunes, along with many of their favorite artists’ tunes. This will be a great mix of bluegrass, Americana, folk, mountain music and outlaw country. Join in on the fun!
Known primarily as the founding member of Sparks The Rescue, Toby has been playing music since he was old enough hold a guitar. He spent his 20’s touring the world in a 15 passenger van with his best friends. When Sparks started to slow down, he settled back in Maine with his family. The pandemic brought on an unexpected source of inspiration, which led to the first solo EP for McAllister titled, Daydreamin. A few short months after it’s release, he was sharing the stage with acts such as Drake White, Kasey Tyndall, Billy Bob Thornton & The Boxmasters, Eddie Montgomery, and supported Rhett Miller & The Old 97’s on a tour in Spring of ’22.
