We are excited to partner with Hilary Schneider, Director of the Office of the Health Insurance Marketplace for a FREE Small Business Healthcare Options and Tools Through CoverME  workshop on Wednesday, 11/5.

Health insurance coverage is a major factor in recruiting and retaining staff; it's also one of the most confusing and expensive for small employers. CoverME.gov, Maine’s official Health Insurance Marketplace, is designed to help individuals and small businesses find affordable, comprehensive coverage. In preparation for open enrollment beginning on November 1st, Hilary Schneider, Director of the Office of the Health Insurance Marketplace, will walk you through what’s available for employers and their employees and how to make the most of the free tools and support offered through the state. We'll also discuss changes coming to the program in 2026.
 
During this free workshop, you'll learn how to compare qualified health plans and determine whether group coverage, employee reimbursement accounts, or directing employees to the Marketplace is the best option for your business. Hilary will also share tools available to employers, including:


• The Employer Quick Quote Tool for SHOP-qualified plans
• Information on the small business health care tax credit (for businesses with fewer than 25 FTEs)
• Guidance on Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangements (ICHRA) and other ways to support employees if you don’t offer group coverage
• Free assistance resources from CoverME.gov to answer questions and support enrollment
