Adia Grogan is the proud new owner of Coastal Jewelers, a beloved fine jewelry store located in the heart of Kennebunkport, Maine. After more than two decades of stewardship under Susan and Brian McDonald, Adia officially took the reins in 2025, bringing a fresh perspective and deep appreciation for the store’s legacy.

A Kennebunk local, Adia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Saint Joseph’s College of Maine and a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Her academic background, coupled with a strong passion for thoughtful, community-rooted business practices, drives her commitment to maintaining the quality and trust Coastal Jewelers has always represented—while also exploring new ways to sustainably grow and serve the Kennebunkport community.

Before purchasing the business, Adia spent a year working under Susan learning both the craft and the culture of Coastal Jewelers. That hands-on experience—paired with her scientific precision, creative vision, and love for the town—has made her transition into ownership a natural fit.

As the youngest owner in the store’s history, Adia brings energy, innovation, and a personal connection to the community. She looks forward to honoring the traditions that customers have cherished while introducing new ideas that reflect her values and vision.
