Join us for a open house on Sunday, December 12 from 11:00 to 3:00 featuring the work of Steve (Roscoe) Ross. The Kennebunkport photographer/garbage-guru/handyman and uber-environmentalist seeks to capture a moment or feeling that’s triggered when he strides Gooch’s Beach at sunrise or visits Cape Porpoise harbor at dusk. Born in Montreal, Roscoe has been mesmerized by photography since childhood. He was a young model at Max Sauer Studios and later joined photography groups in the city to hone his craft. One summer during his 20s, he stuffed a Canon AE1 into his backpack and discovered that “Europe was the perfect place to play around with photography.” Even today, he still treasures his hundreds of Kodachrome slides of schooners, forests, gardens and people.
