"Giselle" Ballet

Onstage at the Sanford Performing Arts Center, follow Portland Ballet’s dancers through the heartbreaking story of the young village girl, Giselle, and the handsome but disguised and betrothed nobleman, Albrecht, whose betrayal sends Giselle to her grave and the otherworldly realm of the Willis, classical ballet’s creepiest characters! They avenge girls who have died of broken hearts by forcing their betrayers to dance to their deaths. Portland Ballet’s production of Giselle will both romance and haunt you. Showtime is 2 and 7 p.m. Tickets range from $24 to $33, with discounts for students, seniors and subscribers.
