Please join us for Boston Day! The day will be packed with special tours, amazing rides, informative presentations and even opportunities to operate a trolley (at an additional cost). For a small ticket fee of $24.00, your contribution will go toward restoration of our Boston Red Lines Collection, Boston Hawker Siddeley Blue Line Collection and Coney Island, the future home of Seashore's rapid transit exhibit.
From riding on a special tour in a bygone era Massachusetts Motor Bus to special rides and tour of our 1918 City & Suburban Streetcar, Eastern Mass Street Railway trolley #4387. There's lunch under our 150 year old oak tree with Table Talk Pies for dessert, a presentation on the development of the future display area of our rapid transit collection, a moving presentation on our Boston Blues Lines and a chance for you to learn and operate a trolley with the return of our Be A Motorman Program.
On Boston Day, we're offering sign ups for our Become a Motorman Program at an additional charge of $100. You can operate Eastern Mass 4387 at a pre-scheduled departure time. The Be A Motorman Program at Seashore Trolley Museum provides the opportunity for you to operate a real antique streetcar. After a brief overview of how a streetcar works and how to operate it, one of our instructors will guide you as you operate a streetcar out on our two-mile rail line. Seashore is the only place in the region where you can live your dream of actually operating a fully restored, vintage streetcar.
So join us as we celebrate and explore historic public transit from Boston, Massachusetts. You won't be disappointed!
