  • Share:
Name: Twilight in the Park
Date: September 23, 2017
Time: 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM EDT
Event Description:
Hospice of Southern Maine (HSM) will light up Deering Oaks Park on September 23, at 6:30 p.m., at its annual Twilight in the Park remembrance event. This event is free and open to the public. Thousands of luminarias, each bearing the name of someone special being remembered, will illuminate Deering Oaks in a warm glow of love, celebration and remembrance. Many find this event to be a profound and transformative experience, and a positive step in the process of healing from a loss. Those wishing to dedicate a luminaria may order them online or by phone prior to the event. Walk-in orders on the day of the event are also welcome. To order, visit www.hospiceofsouthernmaine.org/twilight or call (207) 289-3643. Luminarias are $10 each. Each one is personalized, and there is no limit per order. Individual names will be listed in the program for orders received by September 15th. Twilight in the Park raises awareness for healthy grieving, and helps to educate the community about the benefits of hospice care at the end of life.
