Communication and Action: Empowerment for End-of-Life Preparation

Join us, Kennebunkport Public Health, and special guest presenter Marilyn R. Gugliucci (MA, Ph.D., AGHEF, GSAF, AGSF, NAOMEF; Professor & Director of Geriatric Education and Research at the University of New England, College of Osteopathic Medicine) for a presentation on empowerment for end-of-life preparation. Dr. Gugliucci will be discussing misconceptions that are socially constructed within our society around aging, dying, and death. These misconceptions, often viewed as truth or reality, tend to limit our access to opportunities and create barriers that affect our thinking, communication, and action. This session will level some misconceptions and pave a path for effective communication to support action in ageing and at end of life. Space for this program is limited.
