About Us

Discover the joy of crafting Maine inspired decor that even lobsters would pinch themselves over. Here, in the heart of Kennebunk’s Lower Village, we provide adult education classes in woodworking. Whether you’re a beginner, novice, or a seasoned pro, our six-week sessions offer a relaxed setting with all the tools and materials you need - and maybe a few witty remarks thrown in, so be sure to measure twice! Along with access to our variety of equipment we also offer the necessary safety gear, and professional guidance - and supervision. Safety comes first in the workshop, then cheese. We currently offer courses three nights a week, with the occasional one-class special event on our off nights, each meeting from 6pm-8:30pm, right here in the Lower Village Workshop. If your DIY skills are taking you to new levels, yet you need just a few more tools, or assistance to help get your project completed, join us at one of our Open Bench days. We open the workshop doors for the community to come in and make their workshop a little bigger when they need it. All are welcome to use the array of hand and power tools we have in the shop, or bring any of their own tools. Not only are we happy to share a cup of coffee and a Holy Donut with you, but we’re here to assist you should you need it.
