About Us

Most people enjoy exploring the many tide pools of Maine, but do you know what amazing critters actually live in between the tides? Coast Encounters will take you on a unique, hands-on Maine adventure where you will roll up your sleeves and romp in the tide pools.

Three-hour excursions are scheduled daily, at low tide, from May to October. Minimum age is seven years old. Good physical health is mandatory in order to withstand extended periods of crouching, balancing, and walking over extremely slippery rocks and seaweed.

$90 for adults; $80 for children (ages 7-18). Complimentary water shoes are provided.

Don't want to get your feet wet? We can bring the critters to you! Coast Encounters can be booked for private events, birthday parties, school programs, assisted living facilities, libraries, etc.
