Are you interested in learning about birds, plants, ecology and other areas of natural history? Or, interested in sharing what you know? If so, join us! Kennebunk Land Trust will host a naturalist walk on Sunday, September 28, from 10:00 am to noon at the Alewive Woods Preserve located on Cole Road in West Kennebunk. The Alewive Woods Preserve is the crown jewel in KLT’s properties and is comprised of over 625 acres. Participants will explore the preserve with area naturalists and KLT Board members, Gordon Collins and Tony Liguori. All are encouraged to discuss and share their knowledge of natural history as the group observes and discusses the status of plants and animals in early fall in a mixed conifer hardwood forest. Participants should come prepared for an outdoor excursion that is easy to moderate in pace. Please leave dogs at home.
