The Marginal Way Preservation Fund 501(c)(3) non-profit organization is seeking to hire a part-time Business Development Director who would be responsible for developing and executing a formal outbound program to share the exciting news with the Marginal Way community of these additional available spaces and to promote the plaque memorial program along the beloved coastal path. The hired BD Director will be responsible for building relationships with donors and oversight of the plaque program. Job Description - Business Development Director – Plaque Program.
Status – Part-Time
Reporting – The Business Development Director will report to the Executive Director.
Introduction
· The Town of Ogunquit Select Board has authorized the use of the front face of the current plaque granite pillars to sell additional plaques. This hire would be responsible for developing and executing a formal outbound program to share the exciting news with the Marginal Way community of these additional available spaces and to promote the plaque memorial program along the beloved coastal path.
· There will be a total of 350 plaques to fill at Serenity Point along the Marginal Way which when filled will generate $3.5mm for the endowment of the Preservation Fund.
Objective
· We hope to accomplish fulfilling 350 plaque spaces with support from donors within 5 years.
Develop an Outbound Plaque Sales Campaign
· The hired BD Director will be responsible for building relationships with donors and through donor development will maintain a report of prospective plaque holders.
· Under the direction of the ED the BD Director will develop an outbound plaque purchase campaign to include the following elements:
o Development of a target list of potential plaque donors via:
o Ongoing supply of interested potential donors from BOD and Executive Officers, Discussions with Town
o Officials, Chamber of Commerce and Major Businesses in the Town of OGT
Use of alternative sources of qualified leads (TBD)
o Completing and maintaining a plaque pipeline report
o Completing and maintaining an ongoing active call report that describes interaction with the potential donor
o For the avoidance of doubt, all inbound plaque inquiries will be handled by the current ED
Success is a function of several milestones including:
· Developing and maintaining a robust list of potential target plaque donors
· Developing and maintaining a robust plaque pipeline
· Completed plaque purchases

- Shared passion for the MWPF and our mission
- Willingness to work with CRM and/or other technology
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal skills
