DESCRIPTION:SCHOOL AROUND US PRESENTS SHARING THE LIGHT\, A JOYFUL CELEBRATION OF COMMUNITY AND THE ARTS\n\nArundel\, Maine - School Around Us Co-Learning Community is pleased to announce a benefit concert celebrating our traditional Santa Lucia ceremony and highlighting the musical talents of our community. The concert will take place at Vinegar Hill Music Theater in Arundel\, Maine on Tuesday December 3rd from 6PM - 9PM. \n\nThe Children's concert and Santa Lucia ceremony will begin at 6PM followed by a Community Musical Showcase (7:30PM) featuring musicians Jason Roman\, Wayne Morphew\, Will Sawyer\, Ginny & Travis Munroe and Sharon Trace. You are welcome to come for one or both parts of the evening. Cookies\, treats and a cash bar will be available.\n\nAll ages are welcome. Tickets are not required. A suggested donation of $20 is requested at the door. Donations will benefit the School Around us Opportunity Fund\, a scholarship fund supporting our learners. \n\nSchool Around Us is an innovative participatory co-learning community serving learners ages 4-14 and based on strong relationships and mutual respect. We provide year-round\, connecting\, and meaningful educational experiences rooted in exploration and play\, holistic education\, and democratic decision-making practices that include learners in program design and community governance. We continually provide a non-coercive educational experience where learners are respected for who they are and allowed to grow at their own pace in partnership with their families and educators.\nFor more information go to www.schooolaroundus.org
