This wonderful event features models and displays by our members.\n\n\n\nModel railroads capture the imaginations of guests of all ages. For children\, these representations of rail transit are magical toys\; they spark wonder and adventure. Adults see trolleys and trains as miniaturized versions of engineering marvels.\n\n\n\nExplore layouts and displays our the Visitors Center Exhibit Room. Gaze at Lilliputian locomotives as they haul there miniature loads across the scaled down landscape. A model railroad exhibition provides a peek into creative minds as they come up with ways to shrink the items that surround us everyday. The realism is astounding. The detail is inspiring.\n\n\n\nThe first mass market model train sets were invented by a German company called Marklin in 1891\, and by the early 1950s model trains were the number one most popular toy for boys in the United States. As technology advanced model train kits became more realistic.
