DESCRIPTION:In the Victorian era\, Christmas was characterized by traditions like decorated Christmas trees\, gift-giving\, festive meals\, and a focus on family\, all heavily influenced by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's reign. Many of these customs\, such as the decorated tree and gift exchanges\, are still popular today. Mrs. Hurd was well known for her family gatherings\, especially around the holiday times.\n\nIn partnership with Ogunquit's "Christmas by the Sea\," come and visit the Manor while it displays its holiday best.  Rooms are decorated with ornaments\, trees and lights. This event is open to the public.\n\nLight refreshments will be served.\n\nNo Admission
