SUMMARY:Epiphany Concert
DESCRIPTION:Once all the shopping\, wrapping\, shipping\, and baking is over\, give yourself the gift of Christmas carols with no pressure at all. On Saturday\, January 7 at 2:00 pm.\, to honor Epiphany\, also known as Twelfth Night\, Christ Church at 6 Dane St\, Kennebunk\, will finish up the Christmas season with a joyful concert of Christmas favorites and sing-along caroling. \n\n\n\nCelebrated on January 6th\, the "twelfth day of Christmas" sung about in "A Partridge in a Pear Tree\," is traditionally when the three Wise Men saw the Baby Jesus and affirmed he was the divine Christ. The name "Epiphany" from the Greek word Epiphania\, means "to show\, make known\, or reveal." \n\n\n\nOrganist and pianist "Maestro" Warren King will accompany several virtuoso musicians -- flutist Diana McNulty\, violinist Margaret Hopkins\, and trumpeter Thomas Kremser. The program will include opportunities for sing-along carols. Suggested donation for the concert is $15\, or $10 for seniors and students\, or what one can afford or chooses to give. Children under 12 are welcome at no charge. Come sing with us\, or just relax and enjoy the music!\n\n\n\nWarren King is Music Director at Christ Church and has been presenting concerts in various genres throughout the Kennebunks and beyond since his 2004 arrival in Maine.
