DESCRIPTION:In a program exclusive to the Brick Store Museum\, visitors are invited to learn about the Kennebunks' shipbuilding era. The "Shipbuilding Odyssey" begins at the Museum's Program Center at 4 Dane Street with a brief illustrated look at what life was like in the Kennebunks' many 19th-century shipyards.\n\n\n\nGuests then embark on a special\, narrated trolley excursion stopping at various historic locations associated with shipbuilding along the Kennebunk River in the 1800s\, including the sites of the former Bourne & Kingsbury and Titcomb yards\, the Landing\, and the locks.\n\n\n\nThe morning concludes back at the Museum\, where guests will enjoy clam chowder by Alisson's Restaurant and refreshments and receive a commemorative souvenir of their historical trip.\n\n\n\nAdvance reservations are required as space is limited.
